Activities of Daily Living
Activities of Daily Living (ADL), are the basic, essential self-care tasks needed to keep ourselves safe, clean and healthy. The associated report analyzes all home activity over 7 days to see whether the wearer is likely to be moving enough to complete those tasks without support. An hour-by-hour breakdown is shown, both day and night.
Typical ADL is shown in pale green for comparison. It includes sample typical peak activity as follows:
1) A night-time bathroom visit.
2) Morning time activities - dressing, showering and breakfast.
3) Lunch preparation and clean up.
4) Evening meal preparation and clean up.
5) A nighttime change of clothes and washing.
Low activity at these key times highlights when care support might be needed.
